YPI started out as a team of pilots running STEM training in schools, we currently get thousands of children into real planes each year, often with a large discount or bursary.

We wanted to make our fantastic schools program open to all so we created YPI as an online option, available to anyone anywhere.

We teach theory in the classroom and practical flying skills using flight SIMs.

Our students have different objectives but for those who want to become a pilot, this is the perfect spring board. We can teach you everything you need to know and rehearse the various skills a pilot needs on SIMs so when you do manage to get your hands on a real plane, you will know exactly what to do and breeze through in minimum hours.  

We drop fresh content each week, sometimes a flying lesson, other times an interview, review or feature. The more subscribers we get the more ambitious we can be with our content.  As we scale, we also hope to be able to offer a high number of heavily discounted or free flying experiences to young people who otherwise might never get the chance to fly. 

You don’t NEED it but if you want to get the most from the training we’d recommend having a flight SIM. A full gaming set up is wonderful but we actually find the X-Plane App on a tablet or even a smart phone is enough to learn.

YES! The idea is you learn as much as you can online with us so that when you do get the chance to visit your local flying school, the money you spend on a physical flight is really high value and you can progress very quickly.  If you are in the UK, we have a network or partner schools who work closely with us, providing our students with accelerated flying lessons.

It's not the same, though there is a healthy overlap. The students that take part in a BYP school flying club cover more ground more quickly and the classes are more like a school lesson - there's a bigger focus on learning and progression. Our online club still has STEM/teaching at its core but we equally invested in creating a sense of community/belonging and entertainment alongside the academic side of things.
